The Joy of X
The Faculty of Education’s George Gadanidis will be at the Thames Valley District School Board Education Centre on November 2 and 4, entertaining 2,000 students from grades 3 to 6 along with their teachers. These are no ordinary concerts, however – it’s all about the Joy of X, a math and science performance project which aims to celebrate mathematical and scientific thinking. George aims to help students, teachers and parents experience mathematics as a fully human activity – something they might discuss with family and friends as they would a good book or interesting movie.
