Welcome to Matt Bazely, Director of Practicum
Western’s Faculty of Education is delighted to welcome Matt Bazely, our new Director of Practicum. Matt comes to the Faculty as an educator with a wealth of diverse experience; he has taught internationally, was principal of CultureWorks here at Western and then at Fanshawe College and most recently operated his own business as an intercultural trainer and consultant.
Matt holds a BA (Honours) in Political Science from Western, a B.Ed. from LaTrobe University in South Australia and a M.Ed. from the University of Toronto. He is a leadership graduate of the Coaches Training Institute in San Francisco and a certified Intercultural Development Inventory administrator.
Matt’s experience of working in Asia, studying in Canada and Australia and travelling extensively in thirteen countries has led to his passion for facilitating the development of cross-cultural skills. To that end, Matt is looking forward to increasing the learning opportunities for our teacher candidates in First Nations and international contexts as well as in the regional school boards. Matt can be reached by email at Matt Bazely
Congratulations, Matt, and welcome to Western’s Faculty of Education!
