Dr. Shelley K. Taylor

Dr. Shelley K. Taylor is Professor of TESOL/Applied Linguistics. Her research interests include plurilingualism, migration and social justice. She has conducted research/policy studies in Canada, Denmark, Greenland, Nepal and India, and published in English, French, Danish and Turkish. She is Past President of TESOL International Association (2024-2025) and convened an International Research Network for AILA (2011-2021). In 2023-2024, she published in Kobenhavenerstudier i tosprogethed [Copenhagen Studies in Bilingualism], Language Learning in Higher Education, Perspectives: A Journal of TESOL Italy, and Globalisation, cultural diversity and education, gave plenaries for conferences in Honduras, Malaysia, Qatar and the USA, and participated in invited Round Tables for UNESCO/Jawaharlal Nehru University and the Language Policy & Practice Conference.

Dr. Ron Darvin

Ron Darvin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Language and Literacy Education of the University of British Columbia. His research examines issues of digital literacies, language learning identity and investment, and equity. He has published in Annual Review of Applied Linguistics, Language Teaching and Language Learning and Technology, and served as a Co-Editor of the 2022 Special Issue of TESOL Quarterly on digital literacies.
